Promoting public awareness and support for the practice of Therapeutic Counselling.

Promoting Professional Development for Counselling Therapists.

Providing opportunities for Counselling Therapists to share information, research findings, viewpoints, and common concerns.

All registered members of NBACT have a minimum of a Masters degree in Counselling from a UC recognized University, that includes courses in Counselling Ethics, Counselling Theories, Counselling Skills, 2 Counselling electives and 4 additional electives. They also have completed a supervised internship, and have a criminal record check.

  • NBACT  will be accepting applications for membership until May 15 2017.  After this date,  applications can be made directly to the college of Licensed Counselling Therapists.

The college  of  Licensed Counselling Therapists  will be established  June 1, 2017.
